The Relentless Dead (Paperback)

A Death Korps of Krieg Novel

Five centuries after a devastating Chaos plague reduced Oleris III to a world of tombs and forgotten catacombs, the planet remains a desolate graveyard where the dead far outnumber the living. Beneath its endless ossuaries lies a missing Inquisitor—and finding them is a mission only the relentless soldiers of the Death Korps of Krieg are willing to undertake.

Colonel Graven and the battle-hardened 401st Krieg Regiment descend into the planet's labyrinthine tunnels, where every shadow conceals new horrors. As they push deeper into the darkness, they discover that Oleris III's dead are far from at rest. Strange apparitions and unseen forces begin to sow fear and mistrust, threatening to unravel even the legendary discipline of Krieg's finest.

For Colonel Graven, the mission is more than a desperate search. Haunted by the consequences of past decisions and burdened by personal guilt, he must confront his own inner demons while leading his soldiers against an enemy unlike any they have faced before. In a place where paranoia can be just as deadly as the monsters lurking below, even the unwavering resolve of the Death Korps may not be enough.

This collection also includes a companion short story that offers a rare outsider's perspective on the grim soldiers of Krieg, providing fresh insight into one of the Imperium's most iconic regiments.

Blending relentless military action, psychological horror, and the uncompromising determination of the Death Korps of Krieg, this novel is an atmospheric tale of sacrifice, duty, and survival in the darkest corners of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
