Astra Militarum: Auxilia (Paperback)

An Astra Militarum Novel

Castellan-Colonel Orysian Roane, a young Cadian officer with little experience in independent command, is assigned to lead an auxilia regiment centered on a clan of abhumans. The unit is a mix of outcasts, hardened survivors and veterans pulled from across the Imperium, and it faces open hostility from within and indifference from its superiors.

Roane must impose Cadian discipline on a force shaped by different cultures and combat habits while under the watchful eye of a commissar who seeks to enforce order by any means. Before he can establish his authority, the planet is torn apart by civil war and the auxilia is thrown into brutal fighting that will test both the regiment and its new commander.
