Greatest of the ancient Ents, Treebeard is unimaginably old, a living relic who has wandered the forests of Middle-earth since the world’s earliest days. Since the loss of the Entwives, he has turned his attention inward, devoting himself to the care and protection of Fangorn Forest and those who dwell within it. Though slow to anger, should Fangorn be threatened, Treebeard’s fury is terrible to behold, and his wrath is unleashed with earth-shaking force.

Meriadoc Brandybuck, known to most as Merry, is a mischievous Hobbit with a fondness for practical jokes and a talent for finding trouble – often to the frustration of Gandalf the Grey. Beneath his playful nature, however, lies courage and loyalty. When Frodo sets out to destroy the One Ring, Merry gladly leaves the comforts of the Shire behind, embarking on a journey that will test and transform him.

Peregrin Took, or Pippin, is carefree, curious, and inseparable from his closest friend, Merry. Though he joins the Fellowship with little understanding of the dangers ahead, Pippin’s heart proves as stout as any, even if leaving behind second breakfast in the Shire is a hardship he never truly forgets.

Treebeard is a natural leader for Fangorn forces, both in the legends of Middle-earth and on the battlefield, where his immense strength makes him a near-unstoppable presence. As during the Last March of the Ents, he can carry Merry and Pippin into battle upon his shoulder branches, and the kit includes the option to mount both Hobbits atop him. Merry and Pippin are also included as separate models on foot – noticeably taller than most Hobbits, thanks to the Ent-draught that granted them a magical growth spurt.
