A Warhammer Age of Sigmar Novel
An ancient prophecy lies hidden within the shattered remains of a long-forgotten Seraphon temple-ship. Drawn by fate, ambition, and long-buried secrets, several champions of the forces of Order converge on the same ruins—each seeking something different, and each unaware of the greater danger waiting within.
Why You'll Want to Read It
This novel explores the complex relationships between the factions of Order, showing that even allies can find themselves in conflict when their goals collide. Combining mystery, exploration, and epic fantasy action, it is the first full-length Warhammer Age of Sigmar novel by Adrian Tchaikovsky and continues themes introduced in his short story Written in Stars.
The Story
Long ago, the Seraphon temple-ship Wings of Serendipitous Fire crashed into the Realm of Shyish, leaving behind little more than shattered ruins and forgotten secrets. Now, the Starseer Irixi is sent by a revered mage-priest to recover an ancient prophecy believed to remain hidden among the wreckage.
Others have also set their sights on the fallen temple. A Stormcast Eternal follows visions tied to his own troubled past, while a Cities of Sigmar expedition seeks rumored treasures buried within the ruins. As their paths converge, suspicion and conflicting objectives threaten to turn potential allies into enemies.
Yet an even darker force is stirring beneath the surface—one whose plans endanger far more than a single expedition. To survive what lies ahead, old rivalries may have to be set aside before the fate of the Great Plan is placed at risk.
