Why You'll Want to Read It
This second installment of the Horus Heresy series marks a pivotal turning point in Warhammer history. It explores the events that begin Horus's tragic fall while introducing several of the influential figures and manipulations that shape the future of the Imperium.
The Story
As Warmaster, Horus commands the Emperor's greatest military campaign, but the weight of leadership brings growing political rivalries and personal conflicts. Jealousy among his fellow Primarchs, mounting pressure, and hidden conspiracies steadily erode the unity of the Great Crusade.
After suffering a devastating injury during a campaign on the world of Davin, Horus becomes vulnerable to influences far more dangerous than any battlefield enemy. As dark forces work behind the scenes, he is forced to confront both physical wounds and internal struggles that will have consequences for the entire galaxy.
The choices made during these events begin a chain reaction that ultimately leads to one of the most significant conflicts in Warhammer lore.
